TEST and SIMULATION BOXES   Return to Home Page

Our interest at modular EV power relates to supplying electrical power to the vehicle, using J1772 parts.

ST1     Simulator or Test Box for J1772 electric vehicle charging stations.

This simulator or test box allows manually stepping through the states used in a J1772 technology charging stations (EVSE).

The J1772 connector is a UL connector with a cover door for SAE J1772™ specifications. The Adapter is enclosed in a UL listed polycarbonate box.  It has 2 toggle switches to simulate R1 and R2 in the J1772 system.  A pilot light indicates when the charging station (EVSE) is providing electrical power.  Step by step instructions are on the bottom of the unit.

The ST1 unit is not intended for simulating a vehicle with a battery that requires ventilation.  Other units are available with this feature.

ST7     Simulator or Test Box for J1772 electric vehicle charging stations.

This simulator or test box allows a more complete manually stepping through the states used in a J1772 technology charging stations (EVSE).   It allows testing the ventelation requirements needed for some batterys.  It has a test function to verify operation of the PRoximity switch that is controled by the connector latch.  It also can simulate a ground fault.
